Customizing a new system to fulfill unique needs.
The Mazza Museum Gift Shop offers an assortment of art-inspired gifts for all occasions, from children’s books to toys to collectibles and apparel. In addition to the main gift shop, books and merchandise are often sold in pop-up stalls ranging from author signings, Fun Day Sundays, conferences, and special events.

The Gift Shop was looking for a system that allowed them to accept cash, checks, and credit cards, recorded sales including tax and discounts, had portable cash points, and kept track of inventory including the retail and wholesale price.​

Khateri Consulting was brought in to assist with the installation and customization of Clover, a cloud-based Android point of sale platform. Clover is primarily used in the restaurant industry so we customized a lot of the fields to fit into the needs of a bookstore. Once installed, we assisted with the input of 4,000 inventory items and developed training tools to introduce their volunteers to the new system.
Kitanya played a significant role, often, in developing and implementing our overall POS strategies, and dealt with the details along with the bigger picture. It has been a joy to work with someone with the background and knowledge that Kitanya has.
